Man charged after flying under police radar for two days By: Maura Johnson VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. – A Mattawan man was arrested after escaping from police during a traffic stop Saturday evening and eventually being found Monday night, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office reported. On February 27 at 5:45 p.m., a K-9 deputy was on patrol in Bloomingdale Village when the deputy reported seeing a man with multiple outstanding warrants driving a Ford pickup truck, officials said. The K-9 deputy tried to make a traffic stop and the suspect allegedly drove off in the truck, reports said. The suspect drove through a park and began a chase with the deputy, officials reported.
