DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. (AP) Authorities said they have found no sign of a University of Southern Mississippi student who’s been missing since Sunday in the Gulf of Mexico off the Alabama coast.
Rob Brent was last seen while swimming off the southern shore of Dauphin Island. A friend reported him missing after he disappeared from sight.
The U.S. Coast Guard joined local authorities in a search, which has included aircraft, boats and teams combing the shore, but the water has been choppy and there’s no sign of Brent.

It is an extraordinary project, said Culture Minister Dario Franceschini, detailing the plans to create a flexible floor to give tourists a clearer idea of how the arena would have looked when gladiators fought to the death there.
