The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) has released its rosters for the SJHL Virtual Showcase simulation taking place on Friday, Jan. 29 and 30 on Twitch.
The Melfort Mustangs and Nipawin Hawks were well represented on the four rosters with nine players from Melfort and eight from Nipawin over two teams that represent the province’s north teams. Mustangs second-year forward Ben Tkachuk is one of those players and he joined Jamie Neugebauer and Rory McGouran on SJ @ Noon on Monday, Jan. 25.
“We’ll see if my virtual player decides to show up,” Tkachuk joked on the show. “But we’ll see what happens. I’m looking forward to watching.”
