Bravo to Congress for certifying the Electoral College votes after a siege on the U.S. Capitol this week. The mob that caused chaos and destruction, resulting in the deaths of five people, did not stop democracy. Vice President Mike Pence formally declared Joseph Biden as the winner of the November election for president.
Bravo to Jalen Denning Breitbach, the first baby born in Jamestown for 2021. Jalen was born on Jan. 3 and is the son of Makenzie and Alex Breitbach of Rugby, N.D. Jalen weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces. Mackenzie Breitbach is a nurse who works in the Family BirthPlace at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
