The Carver County Sheriff s Office received a 911 call at 3:39 p.m. that a girl was missing at Lake Minnewashta and that her family was trying to find her. She was last seen on a float attached to a couple of boats that were anchored together on the lake near the 3600 block of Red Cedar Point Road in Chanhassen, according the Sheriff s Office.

(FOX 9) DENMARK TOWNSHP, Minn. (FOX 9) - A person pulled from the water at Point Douglas Park in Denmark Township, Minnesota Monday evening has died from apparent drowning, according to the Washington County Sheriff s Office. Water Patrol and deputies responded to a reported drowning at 5:30 p.m. When they arrived, people were using a small boat to bring the person to shore. Responders then began CPR. An ambulance took the person to Regions Hospital, where they later died. According to the Washington County Sheriff s Office, the deceased is a 38-year-old from Brooklyn Park. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner s Office will release the name at a later date.

Benjamin Garcia, 26, died after swimming at Commons Beach on Lake Minnetonka Thursday evening.  The Hennepin County Sheriff s Office Water Patrol sent three boats to search for Garcia after it was reported he had gone underwater and hadn’t resurfaced. A DNR conservation officer saw Garcia underwater and pulled him out with the help of a Hennepin deputy. They administered life-saving measures before he was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center.
