Flagler County (along with the rest of the nation) has seen an increase in the theft of catalytic converters. A catalytic converter is an exhaust emission control device that reduces toxic gases and pollutants being emitted from vehicles. Thieves cut them from vehicles and sell them to scrap metal dealers because they contain precious metals, including rhodium, platinum, and palladium. Repairing vehicles form these thefts are over $1,500 each.

SAN RAFAEL, CA A suspect has been arrested in connection with Monday night s shooting death of a 23-year-old man, San Rafael police said.
The shooting occurred at around 11:50 p.m. on Windward Way according to police.
The suspect has been identified as former Novato resident Jeffrey Osmaldo Aguirre, 19, according to police.

Wilmer Gonzalez Velazquez of San Rafael was identified as the victim, police said.
Officers responded shortly before midnight on Monday to a report that a man who had apparently been shot was laying on the ground and was unresponsive, police said.

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) - A woman was arrested on multiple charges involving drug offenses after an investigation at a hotel in Salisbury.
The arrest came Wednesday after members of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit were contacted by the N.C. Probation and Parole for assistance with an investigation at an apartment at the Affordable Suites Extended Stay Hotel on Julian Road.
