COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho Duane Hagadone spent his life developing North Idaho. He created The Coeur d’Alene Resort and left behind a legacy of impact to those who knew him.
According to his company, the Coeur d’Alene Press, Hagadone died on Saturday. He was 88 years old. Kiki Miller, a current Coeur d’Alene Councilmember and fellow local leader, worked for The Hagadone Corporation for 14 years. She worked her way up in the corporation and was always learning from her boss. He told her to “keep your eye on the goal and do what it takes to get your vision to fruition.”

COEUR D ALENE, Idaho On Saturday afternoon, the Hagadone family announced that Duane Hagadone, founder of the Hagadone Corporation, died at the age of 88 at his winter home in Palm Desert, California.
In a statement released to our news partners at the Coeur d Alene Press, the Hagadone family said, A native of Coeur d Alene, Duane loved North Idaho and the communities that the Hagadone Coporation has served.
The Hagadone Corporation owned many local newspaper in the Inland Northwest, including the Coeur d Alene Press and the Bonner County Daily Bee.

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho (AP) The case of a man accused of choking his mother and threatening her with knives has been sent to district court.
The 33-year-old Coeur d’Alene resident is charged with felony aggravated assault, attempted strangulation and mayhem, the Coeur d’Alene Press reported. The charges stem from March 1, when police responded to a domestic disturbance at a Coeur d’Alene apartment complex.
An officer said the man approached him in the alley behind the building. A woman, later identified as the man’s mother, reportedly shouted, “He has weapons on him!”
