The Paper file photo by Alyssa Bledsoe The snow didn’t stop new local, Lisa Frazeur and her family from taking advantage of Milligan Park’s playground as the temperature rose to nearly 60 degrees Wednesday. Her beautiful daughter, Jessica Stelzer and granddaughter, Virgo, who were visiting Mrs. Frazeur from Champaign, Ill., were busy enjoying the slides and swing sets when our photographer approached them for a picture. Mrs. Frazeur chatted happily about her new move to Crawfordsville and how nice Milligan Park was. Welcome to Montgomery County, Mrs. Frazeur, and we at the Paper hope you enjoy your visit with your daughter and granddaughter!

Main St. in downtown Crawfordsville. • • • Our community can all wish a happy 90th anniversary of Merle Norman since 1931. Our local Merle Norman store started out just a half a block away from its current location in the back of a big house on the corner of Walnut and Pike in downtown Crawfordsville. The current owners bought the store in 1978 and are so proud of how far the store has come!
The Paper photo by Alyssa Bledsoe According to our news partner at wthr.com, Montgomery County should buckle up, and get ready for a week of weather that is all over the place. On Sunday we got quite a bit of snow at around 4” of snow, but they say that it ll be pretty quiet today and Wednesday with no snow or rain on the way the next couple of days. That all changes on Thursday with a wintry mix changing to rain and highs in the mid to upper 40s before a freeze starts coming in over the weekend. Submit A Comment

The Christmas tree in front of the courthouse shines bright for everyone to see. The colder weather might be rolling in, and its bringing local news with it. It was another busy week in Montgomery County.
The following message came from the library’s Facebook page:
“Good morning. We apologize but as of today we are closed to the public until further notice. Curbside services will resume and computer usage by appointments only beginning tomorrow, December 8th. More information will be posted soon. Thanks for your patience!”
A phone call to the library was unanswered by staff, but the library’s web site said it was reopened. However, it appears that the FB posting is more accurate.
