Peace restored due to sacrifices of Karachiites, law enforcers, says DG Rangers

Director-General Sindh Rangers Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry has said peace has been restored in Karachi due to the sacrifices and efforts of the Karachiites and law enforcers.
He said this on Thursday while addressing the ‘Professional Leadership Summit 2021’ organised by the Mass Human Resources Services (MHRS) in Karachi where he was welcomed by MHRS president and members.
He said the Rangers was taking every possible step to improve law and order in Karachi. Addressing the conference, the Sindh Rangers chief discussed the background and reasons for the Karachi operation and said peace was restored in Karachi due to the sacrifices and efforts of the Karachiites and law enforcers.

The Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) has announced its support for the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) candidate Abdul Qadir Khan Mandokhel in the upcoming by-election in the National Assembly constituency NA-249 comprising the Baldia Town area of Karachi.
The announcement to this effect was made on Saturday at a press conference jointly addressed by PPP Sindh President Waqar Mehdi, Mandokhel and leaders of the MWM.
The PPP candidate claimed on the occasion that the PPP would emerge victorious in the upcoming by-poll in the city. The Sindh government had spent around Rs2 billion to carry out development works in the constituency, he said, adding that the residents of the constituency did not trust the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf anymore as the ruling party in the federal government had not carried out any development work in the area after the last general elections.

KARACHI: The Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed across the city on Friday with traditional zeal as political parties, civil society, government and rights bodies organised rallies and seminars and vowed to continue extending their moral and legal support to the people of the India-held oppressed region.
People from different walks of life as well as government officials and political parties arranged separate events to express their solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

Participants of rallies and demonstrations held in Karachi to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day on Friday renewed their pledge to continue full moral support for the people of Kashmir who, they said, had been fighting for their independence from India.
They said that the Kashmiris were going through the worst form of aggression at the hands of the Indian forces in the held Kashmir.
A number of religious and political parties, civil society organisations, and residentsâ groups had organised rallies and various other programmes to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren.
