Linq, a Birmingham, Ala.-based networking tech startup, closed a $2.5m seed funding round.
The round was led by Mucker Capital with participation from the Alabama Futures Fund and from Shipt founder, Bill Smith.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the team, and add new products to the portfolio.
Led by CEO Elliott Potter, COO Jared Mattsson and CTO Patrick Sullivan, Linq is a networking platform harnessing QR codes and “near field communication” (NFC) technology that enables users to share information with others using customizable pages. Current products include electronic business cards, hubs, taps, and wearables such as bracelets and bands for Apple Watch.
