An urgent application has been moved by Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Varanasi before the Allahabad High Court in the title dispute concerning Kashi Vishwanath Temple - Gyanvapi Mosque case stating that the Civil Judge acted in the most arbitrary manner while passing the order to allow the Archaeological Survey of India for undertaking a survey at the disputed site.
The application, while praying for staying the effect and operation of the impugned order dated 8th April 2021, states thus: That the presiding officer of Sri Ashutosh Tiwari the Civil Judge (S. D.) F. T. C. Varanasi is behaving in the most arbitrary manner and is passing the orders against the spirit of Judicial discipline.

New Delhi: Rejecting the anticipatory bail plea filed by the head of Amazon Prime Video’s India Originals Aparna Purohit, the Allahabad high court on Thursday observed that “names and icons of faith of the majority community have been used to earn money”.
Purohit has been booked for various offences, after a complaint against her was registered for “inappropriate depiction of Uttar Pradesh police personnel, Hindu deities and an adverse portrayal of a character playing the prime minister” in Amazon Prime’s web series

Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court has rejected an application for anticipatory bail moved by Aparna Purohit, the Amazon Prime India Director, in a separate case filed in Noida against makers of web series âTandavâ.
Three days ago, Aparna was given protection from arrest till March 9 in another case filed by the Hazratganj Police, Lucknow.
A single bench of the Allahabad High Court, however, rejected her anticipatory bail in a Noida case on Thurday. Justice Siddharth said in his 20-page order that the conduct of the applicant shows that she has scant respect for the law of the land and her conduct further disentitles her to any relief from this court

PRAYAGRAJ: The Allahabad high court on Tuesday launched a virtual court at the Allahabad district court for the disposal of the cases related to road traffic violation, Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) and Integration of Civil Court with Land Records (Bhulekh) through online mode. The virtual court was e-inaugurated by Chief Justice Govind Mathur.
The ICJS has been introduced to facilitate speedy justice through data-exchange between the courts, police/prosecution, jails and the forensic labs while the integration of civil court with land records will help resolve property disputes quickly. This will immensely benefit the litigants as they will not be required to visit the court for traffic-related violations and deposit the fine through on-line mode. Besides, the revenue generated through it will go to the treasury of the state government. As a result, there will be speedy disposal of traffic related challans.
