Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Now Has a New Sniper Rifle
Treyarch released a new
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War update this week, and with that release came a new sniper rifle for players to acquire. The sniper rifle is the ZRG 20mm, and if you want to see it added to your collection, all you have to do is complete a challenge associated with the rifle and it’ll be yours to use in both
Black Ops Cold War and
Call of Duty: Warzone.
The new sniper rifle was previewed in the image below that showed off the gun alongside the highlights from the game’s latest update. Not noted in the patch notes but definitely worth knowing when it comes to the new sniper is that this gun has the highest base damage out of all the sniper rifles, a detail which should convince anyone wondering if the gun is worth the time it takes to unlock it.
Rumors of an upcoming Ural Mountains map for
Call of Duty: Warzone have been circulating for months. While those rumors do have a degree of truth in them in that the map did exist, it turns out it was never meant for
Warzone. As reported by Charlie Intel, the map was supposed to be for a new version of Blackout battle royale mode within
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War instead, which obviously didn’t end up happening. Now that Blackout has reportedly been cancelled to continue supporting
Warzone, the full Ural Mountains map no longer exists either.
The rumors originally stated the map would be made up of larger locations from
Recoil strength has been increased on the AUG, which will hopefully calm it down a bit. Burst weapons ride a fine line between inefficient and oppressive, Raven said. The intent of this change is to maintain the weapon s identity of being a powerhouse while making it a bit more difficult to wield. Right now we feel it is too easy to stay on target given how lethal it is. We will continue to monitor the performance of the Tactical Rifle Charlie and make additional changes if necessary.
Now on to the FFAR 1, an assault rifle that was, like the AUG, brought into Warzone as part of the controversial integration of Treyarch s Black Ops Cold War. The FFAR has seen its ADS (aim down sights) speed decreased, which will hopefully help it feel more like an assault rifle and less like an SMG.
