After having their previous two games postponed due to Texas winter storms, the Texas Longhorns hit the floor again on Saturday afternoon at the Erwin Center in Austin against the West Virginia Mountaineer, hoping to extend their winning streak.
Unfortunately for the Horns, it was not to be, as they blew a 19-point lead to the mountaineers on their way to an 84-82 loss.
The Longhorns, who were in the midst of arguably their best shooting performance of the season, looked all but unbeatable in the first 20 minutes of action, taking a 10-point lead into the locker room at halftime.

Earlie Cathcart believes one of life s secrets is making the most of the opportunities he s given.
Just days shy of his 99th birthday, Cathcart donned a bulky coat and knit cap and braved a downpour to take part in Kintegra s COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Erwin Center Thursday. I m so proud God blessed me with this opportunity, Cathcart said. Everything you do you re making a record of yourself and for the other people around you.
A veteran of World War II, Cathcart said he s endured plenty of shots and inoculations in his day. If his example inspires others to get their shot, too, he s fine with that.
