Offaly County Council has granted permission for the large scale project with 28 conditions attached.
Riverpoint, Construction Limited, applied to Offaly County Council in September for permission for the development. The council sought further information in November before making its decision.
Located on the Arden Road and adjacent to Arden Lane, the large scale development will include a three-storey nursing home with 90 rooms, a single storey coffee shop and 77 residential units at the site.
High cost of installing LED lighting in Offaly revealed
Reporter: );
THE cost of installing outdoor LED lighting is extremely expensive, it has been revealed.
At the recent Tullamore Municipal District meeting, Senior Executive engineer John Connelly said €20,000 would provide just six lights.
There was some confusion over the funding allocation for lighting this year in the Municipal District Area. Mr Connelly believed it was €20,000, however, Councillor Frank Moran said it was €40,000.
Mr Connelly said he hadn’t been informed of that. He added if the allocation was €40,000 then it gave him more scope.
A number of councillors are seeking public lighting for different areas.
Authorities on Sunday identified the victim as 38-year-old Amber Wofford.
Keith Wofford, 41, is being held in the Faulkner County Detention Center.
Spokesman LaTresha Woodruff said Keith called 911 on Saturday âsaying he had stabbed his ex-wife in his home on Arden Lane.â
âWhen officers arrived at the scene, [Keith] Wofford came out of the house and officers arrested him without incident,â Woodruff said. âOfficers later found Amber Wofford in the bedroom of the home, where she died from her injuries.â
Woodruff told the Log Cabin Democrat nobody else was in the home when officers arrived.
The couple had divorced in May, according to court documents.
