The forum, at Restoration Christian Fellowship, was called, Our Trauma Deserves a Voice and Safe Space.
In the wake of several fatal officer involved shootings involving people of color in other states, organizers wanted to provide space for the community to process, vent, release and be supported, while hearing from public officials and holding them accountable.

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward with any information after a man was shot in Aurora Sunday night.
The victim was brought to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police. They did not have any information about a suspect in the shooting.
The shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. at East 35th Place and Helena Street, police said. That is near Interstate 70 and Chambers Road.
Chambers Road was closed from East 33rd Place to East 38th Avenue Sunday night while officers gathered evidence from the shooting. Aurora Police said there was a large officer presence in the area.

AURORA, Colo. â An 11-year-old was seriously injured following a shooting in Aurora Sunday evening.
Around 8 p.m. Sunday, the Aurora Police Department responded to the scene of a shooting along the 12000 block of E. Kansas Drive, near the intersection of E. Mississippi Avenue and S. Peoria Street. One juvenile had been shot and was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Police later said the juvenile is 11 years old.
He certainly had guardian angels watching over him, police said, noting that he was shot multiple times but should make a full recovery.
