Set to arrive at dealerships this spring, the sporty liftback will be offered in GT-Line, GT1 and GT2 trims, with a special edition Scorpion model set to be released later on. The Stinger engine line-up now starts with a new Smartstream 2.5 litre four-cylinder T-GDi engine, which replaces the previous Theta 2.0 litre unit. The larger-capacity mill is available with the GT-Line trim and is rated at 300 hp and 422 Nm of torque, with Kia claiming a 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) time of around 5.2 seconds.

The facelifted Stinger boasts numerous upgrades over the outgoing model, including more potent engines, interior improvements, visual updates, and Kia s latest logo. Pricing for the 2022 Stinger is simpler than before, divided into a simple grade strategy with four trim levels. Kia will offer the four-cylinder GT-Line with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower. The GT-Line starts at $36,090 (plus a $1,045 destination fee) or $38,390 with the Sun & Sound package. Kia has dropped the base GT V6 model and now offers the GT1 for $43,690 and GT2 for $51,290. These models produce 368 hp from an updated 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, and all four trims are available with all-wheel-drive for $2,000.
