Rice County Commissioners Approve University Extension Contract
The Rice County Board of Commissioners today approved a three year extension of an agreement between the University of Minnesota and the county to provide Extension programs.
County Property Tax and Elections Director Denise Anderson presented the agreement to the County Board in the Commissioner s Room of the Rice County Government Services Building in Faribault.
The contract calls for a 2.25% price increase in 2022 and 2023 and a 2.5% increase in 2024.
The totals to be paid by Rice County for Extension employees are $188,703 for 2022, $192,950 for 2023 and $197,774 for 2024. This is for 2.40 full time equivalent positions. The number includes salary and benefits.
