There are not too many sporting stories that begin in the waiting room of a dentist’s clinic, but that is where Ethan Coughlan’s path to a Munster Heineken Cup squad started.
The Ennis man has been enjoying a dream start to 2021, as he travelled to Italy for the provinces PRO14 clash with Treviso at the end of January, and will also be part of the senior squad for their massive last 16 European showdown with Toulouse this weekend.
His progression through the ranks at the province has seen him feature regularly with the Munster A side in recent months, with those performances likely to have caught the eye of the Ireland U20 management.

Mayo teenager who died following single-vehicle crash named Tributes paid to David McHale, fifth-year student at Rice College in Westport

The west Mayo village of Mulranny is mourning the loss of teenager David McHale who died following a single vehicle crash outside Castlebar on Saturday night.
All three occupants of the car were taken from the scene at Corha on the road between Newport and Castlebar to Mayo General Hospital.
Mr McHale, the driver of the vehicle, died early on Sunday morning. One of the male passengers, also a teenager, is in a serious condition at the hospital while another man in his 20s has been receiving treatment for his injuries.

The driver - who died early on Sunday morning in hospital - has been named locally as David McHale.
One of the male passengers, also in his teens, was left in a serious condition at Mayo General Hospital, while another male passenger also received treatment for his injuries. TERRIBLE TRAGEDY
McHale, who hailed from the wesr Mayo village of Mulranny, was a fifth-year-student in Rice College Westport.
