Eurobodalla Council’s facilities coordinator Paul Bladen said the new Halytech system lets club representatives turn sports field lights on and off with a simple text from their phone. “Not only is it much easier to manage than the existing token system, but now clubs only get charged for the time they use the lights,” Mr Bladen said. Under the token system, club members needed to purchase physical tokens from Council. Each token would run the sports field lights for a given period.
