Book distribution festival inaugurated in Meherpur 259 MEHERPUR, Jan 01, 2021 (BSS) – A book distribution festival for 2021 was inaugurated at BM Model Govt Primary School in the town this morning. State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain inaugurated the festival, organized by district administration and district primary education office, through Zoom at around 10:30. Deputy Commissioner Dr Mohammed Monsur Alam chaired the function held on the occasion at the school. Additional secretary Md Tajul Islam from Primary and Mass Education Ministry, district Education Officer Fazle Rahman, Public Prosecutor Advocate Pallob Bhattacharya, president of the managing committee of the school Abdul Halim and Additional Deputy Commissioner Towfiqur Rahman spoke, among others, in the function.

OGUN: One dead, five injured as Customs, smugglers clash again On By James Ogunnaike, Abeokuta At least, one person has been confirmed dead following a clash between officers of Nigeria Customs Services and some rice smugglers in Oke Ola area of Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government area of Ogun State on Saturday.
