Mumbai: French fruit beverages manufacturing company Georges Monin has doubled investment in its upcoming manufacturing plant in Telangana to Rs 200 crore. Despite the setback due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the French company has now doubled its investment for the plant, targeting completion by 2023, said a release issued by the company.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday announced free Covid vaccination for all the eligible beneficiaries in the state. It will cost Rs 2,500 crore to vaccinate everybody and money is not that important when it comes to health, said Rao. He said the state has a population of nearly 4 crore, including people from different states who have come to work in various sectors. According to Rao, 35 lakh people have already undergone vaccination and all the eligible population will be given vaccination irrespective of their age. The Chief Minister had directed the senior officials to make arrangements for inoculating the eligible people in the state.
NBCC (India) has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 5 March 2021 with National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna for supervision of construction and development of institute campus, hostel and residential buildings, at NIT Patna.
NBCC is the project management consultant (PMC) for this project of value Rs 468 crore. The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 10 March 2021.
Separately, NBCC (India) on Thursday, 11 March 2021, announced that it has awarded two separate work orders to Backbone Construction-Sangeeta Engineering & Contracts (JV) and Hayagrev Civil Engineering.
The Backbone Construction-Sangeeta Engineering & Contracts JV has been awarded an order for construction of cooling tower (NDCT) CT-1 for Yadadri Thermal Power Station, (5x800 MW), TSGENCO in Telangana for a total contract value of Rs 45.26 crore.
