This weekend, Sat. May 15 and Sun. May 16, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Sheppard-Yonge and St Clair stations due to track maintenance.
Replacement shuttle buses will run, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct customers to shuttle boarding and offloading locations, which will vary from station to station. In addition to the shuttles, the 97 Yonge bus and the University side of Line 1 will be available as alternatives during the closure.
A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a stabbing at Royal York Station that sent a man in his 30s to hospital in critical condition earlier this week, Toronto police say.

Toronto police were called to the Line 2 station, in the area of Bloor Street and Royal York Road, just before 4 p.m. on May 4. Police said the incident began at Islington Station, where two men got on a subway train and became involved in a verbal dispute. It resulted in one of the men stabbing the other, police said. The suspect got off the train at Royal York subway station and fled the area.

The suspect got off the train at Royal York and fled the area.
When officers arrived, they located the victim on the subway platform suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he remains in life-threatening condition.
