WAITING list and casualty targets at the Royal Bolton Hospital have taken a battering - prompting renewed pleas by NHS chiefs for residents to do everything they can to combat coronavirus. Staff at the Plodder Lane hospital are under continuing pressure from Covid-19 - and health officials say that due to the virus they have not been able to deliver services as they would normally do But chief operating officer (COO) Andy Ennis has reassured people that the Royal Bolton is open to deal with non-covid related treatments and care. He has stressed that the hospital has processes in place to keep people safe while they are undergoing treatment or tests.
