An industrialist, Chief Sam Ohuabunwa, yesterday in Abuja kick-started a political move with the aim of wresting power from the current politicians in 2023, promising a ‘revolution of ideas’ in Nigeria if given the opportunity in the political space to serve.
Launching the movement tagged: ‘The New Nigeria Group (NNG)’, Ohuabunwa said solving Nigerian economic problem is very simple, and it is not as complex as it seems to the current operators.
“We don’t need a violent revolution to change Nigeria, it a revolution of ideas that we need to change this country.
“Solving Nigerian economic problem is as simple as ABC if there is sanctity of contract, safety of life and prosperity, as well as improved ease of doing business,’’ he stated.

The Paramount ruler of Ijumu Kingdom, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni, the Olujumu of Ijumu has charged other traditional rulers in the kingdom to be alive to their responsibilities by cooperating with Ijumu Development Union to enable the union, promote unity and peace in the Local Government.
Oba Ayeni gave the charge on Monday at the Secretariat of the union in Iyara, Ijumu local government area of Kogi State during the 2020 Annual General Conference of Ijumu Development Union (IDU).
Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has sworn in two commissioners, Joseph Ngbea and Ojema Ojotu, as well as special adviser and members of the judicial service commission
He also presented Staff of Office to a first Class Chief of Eneno, Och’ Eneno II, George Edeh.
Governor Ortom appealed to the new cabinet members and members of the judicial service commission as well as the traditional rulers to take their new assignments with total commitment and patriotism to ensure success of his administration.
“It is our expectation that the new Hon. Commissioners, Adviser, Members of the Judicial Service Commission and our Royal Father will take their new assignments with total commitment and patriotism as these are crucial for their success,” Governor Ortom stated.

LAGOS – Top security practitioners, politicians, business executives, traditional rulers and many others from different walks of life are expected at the 29th edition of the annual lecture/award ceremony of the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN).
The epoch making event is billed to hold on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Sheraton Hotel and Towers, along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
In a statement by the Chairman, CRAN Lecture/Award Organizing Committee, Mr. Emmanuel Edom, this year’s lecture has its theme as “Managing COVID-19 Induced Security Challenges.
The lecture would be delivered by Mr. Dennis Amachree, a former chieftain of the Department of State Service, DSS, and currently a private security consultant, while the Chairman of the Day is Mr. Bone Chinye Efoziem, the MD of Strict Guards Security.
