The Samuel Ortom-led Benue State government has pledged to commence the demarcation of Bonta-Ukpute borders of the state.
The state government explained that the measure was aimed at ending the crisis between communities in Konshisha Local Government Area of the state and Oju Local Government Area of the state.
This resolution was taken at an expanded state security council meeting, convened by Ortom and presided over by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu at the Benue People’s House, Makurdi, the state capital.
At the meeting, it was resolved that there should be sensitisation of the youths of Bonta, Ukpute and Ocholo to encourage peace and harmony among them.

He also presented Staff of Office to a first Class Chief of Eneno, Och’ Eneno II, George Edeh.
Governor Ortom appealed to the new cabinet members and members of the judicial service commission as well as the traditional rulers to take their new assignments with total commitment and patriotism to ensure success of his administration.
“It is our expectation that the new Hon. Commissioners, Adviser, Members of the Judicial Service Commission and our Royal Father will take their new assignments with total commitment and patriotism as these are crucial for their success,” Governor Ortom stated.
