The European commission has been warned that the coming months will be “vital for the very existence” of many artists and cultural businesses across Europe.
The warning comes in a letter to the EU executive from organisations representing the culture sector, including organisers of large scale live events.
The arts and culture industry has been badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, with many events, shows and performances being forced to cancel indefinitely.

The Arena Resilience Alliance.an advocacy initiative established by the European Arenas Association (EAA).Luxembourg s Rockhal arena will host five test concerts, Feb. 10-14, in order to fuel a discussion around the safe return of live events.
The events, which run under the banner Because Music Matters, will be limited to 100 people per night, with strict physical distancing enforced, according to the announcement.
What is more, masks will be compulsory, attendees will be tested for Covid-19 prior to the event and again seven days later to allow close monitoring by local health bodies.
The experiment s results, at least the ones gained on the first day, will inform a virtual conference hosted by the Arena Resilience Alliance (ARA) on Feb. 18.
