Ionia Sentinel-Standard
IONIA Intermittent detours and lane closures are planned for Lincoln Avenue (M-21) in Ionia starting Monday for a water main replacement project.
The city of Ionia is replacing the water main along Lincoln Avenue (M-21) from North State Street (M-66) to Baldie Street. The project begins Monday, May 3, and should be completed by July 31 weather permitting, according to the city.
There are intermittent detours and lane closures during construction, but the city states “the project will be phased to minimize disruption to traffic.”
The north side of Lincoln Avenue will be closed for two weeks at the beginning of the project for placement and testing of the new water main, according to the city. There are also a few short-term closures and a few days of detours of Lincoln Avenue to install water main crossings.
