With the Centre saying that the Covid-19 surge cannot be taken lightly and the state of Maharashtra indicating strong restrictions in the days ahead, a scenario of lockdown has got the common man worried.
Amruta Kadam (name changed) from Chembur, who runs a beauty parlour, says that she cannot afford a lockdown like 2020. “I paid rent for eight months for this place even though it was closed. My staff is dependent on the parlour. I paid them half salary throughout even as there were no earrings. There is no one ready to help us with capital. Now slowly we are trying to get back to our feet a
