Ambala (Haryana) [India], February 12 (ANI): Haryana Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ashok Kumar arrived at the Sadar Police Station in the Ambala district on Thursday as part of an investigation after he was booked on Tuesday allegedly after a spat with Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij s brother, Kapil Vij.
According to Ram Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Ambala Cantonment, the DIG received bail from the court and was taken to the civil hospital for a health checkup.

Ambala (Haryana) [India], February 6 (ANI): A 16-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in Ambala s Kalpana Chawla Polytechnic College hostel in Haryana, the police said on Friday.
The minor girl had recently joined the hostel. Her body was found hanging from the ceiling fan. The minor girl took the key of her room from her roommate around 8.30 pm and went upstairs. When her roommate came to sleep at 10 pm. She found the room locked from inside, Station House Officer (SHO) Hamir Singh told ANI.

Ambala (Haryana) [India], January 31 (ANI): Suspending the internet was a decision of the administration to maintain public safety and to avert public emergency in the state after the violence during farmers tractor rally in Delhi, said Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday.
Responding to the allegations by Congress that the students and common can face inconvenience due to the internet suspension during the pandemic period, Khattar said, We spent a whole year under COVID s shadow.
