Chennai: The memorial of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has been opened on Marina Beach in Chennai, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said on Wednesday. The structure, shaped like a phoenix, has been built at a cost of Rs 80 crore with the assistance of IIT Madras experts. The foundation of memorial was laid three years ago in 2018.
