Bjorgvin G. Sigurdsson, Iceland’s Minister of Commerce has resigned from his post. At the same time he announced that the director of the Icelandic Financial Supervisory Authority, Jonas Fr. Jonsson and the board of the institution are stepping down also. Sigurdsson stated that with this he is shouldering his share of the responsibility for the financial crisis. He also acknowledged that others bear responsibility as well.

Ministry fixes fines for Covid-19 violations at cafes, restaurants in Oman

Muscat: A fine of OMR 1,000 will be imposed for cafes, restaurants and places serving shisha that violate the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID-19.
His Excellency Qais bin Mohammad Al-Youssef, Minister of Commerce , Industry and Investment Promotion, issued Decision No. 29/2021 regarding dealing with violators of the decisions of the Supreme Committee.
Article one states that the MoCIIP, responsible for monitoring the compliance of restaurants, cafes and places where shisha is served, may take the following measures if needed:
1- Recording violations in restaurants, cafes and places where shisha is served and seizing equipment.
