Pakistan is concerned about seizure of uranium in India
Islamabad, May 8 (Prensa Latina) Pakistan expressed concern on Saturday about reports on the Indian police s seizure of more than seven kilograms of uranium.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri pointed out that the security of nuclear materials must be the top priority for all countries, the website of the TV channel Ary News reported.
Chaudhri underlined the need to launch an in-depth investigation into how such a considerable amount of uranium could be out of state control, and to identify the breaches that made it possible.

Pakistan has asked for a United Nations (UN) probe into the killings of eleven Pakistani Hindus in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
In a letter addressed to the UN High Commissioner of Human Rights, the country’s Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari said the UN should investigate the killings in August that occurred in Rajasthan state and ensure the payment of reparations to the families of the deceased.
“The extrajudicial executions by Indian security forces have not been fully investigated, in violation of the state of India’s responsibility and obligation to carry out a prompt, thorough and effective investigation. in 2019 the UNHCR had called for “urgent progress” of investigations into these encounters,” Mazari said in the letter.
