SGX Nifty:
Trading of Nifty 50 index futures on the Singapore stock exchange indicates that the Nifty could rise 40 points at the opening bell.
Goods and services tax revenue for April, collected in May, remained above the Rs 1 lakh-crore-mark, even as the second wave of Covid-19 infections hurt economic activity. The GST collections for April were at Rs 1,02,709 crore, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance on Saturday. That s 27% below the Rs 1.41 lakh crore collected in March.

The income tax department is launching its new e-filing portal, www.incometax.gov.in, today, i.e., on June 7, 2021. The new portal will replace the existing link www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.

Meanwhile, it was opened in the early morning for a few minutes and we have captured glimpses of the new portal. The new portal is user-friendly. There is a user-friendly Help section where videos and content that are useful for taxpayers. There is a Chat option and Helpline numbers as well.
