While appearing on CNN s State of the Union, host Dana Bash You know, Dana, it is quite frustrating because the fact that one may not want to get vaccinated, in this case of a disturbingly large proportion of Republicans, only actually works against where they want to be, Fauci said. They want to be able to say these restrictions that are put on by public health recommendations are things that they re very concerned about. California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters told Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan to shut your mouth during a committee meeting on Thursday.
The scolding came after several minutes of Jordan going back and forth with Dr. Anthony Fauci over lockdowns and their affect on liberties during a House Coronavirus Crisis Subcommittee meeting on Thursday.
Subcommittee Chairman and House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn of South Carolina told Jordan that his time was expired and the next member attempted to begin questioning Fauci. But Jordan continued talking despite the sound of the chairman s gavel. You need to respect the chair and shut your mouth! Waters interjected.
