American officials have reportedly released the body of former South African rugby player Lindani Myeni, who was shot dead in an alleged case of police brutality in Hawaii.
The family of slain Lindani Myeni, a former rugby player, has confirmed that his body will arrive in South Africa on Friday, April 30. The news comes after his untimely death in Hawaii following an altercation on April 14, where police responded to a neighbour s call about Myeni being a dangerous burglar . LAHORE, Pakistan The cancellation of an event in Pakistan commemorating Bangladesh’s 50 years of independence has precipitated the debate around Pakistan’s acknowledgment of war crimes.
Pakistan’s Lahore University of Management Sciences and National Institute of Pakistan Studies, Quaid-i-Azam University, had organized
the online event titled “War, Violence & Memory: Commemorating 50 Years of the 1971 War” from March 23 to 27.

He issued several directives for a civil disobedience movement people should not pay taxes; government servants should take orders only from him; the secretariat, government and semi-government offices and courts in East Pakistan should observe strikes; with necessary exemptions announced from time to time, only local and inter-district telephone lines should function; railways and ports could continue to function, but their workers should not co-operate if they were used to repress the people of East Pakistan.
