The Wartburg Knights basketball teams both were bounced from the American Rivers Conference Tournament Tuesday.
The 4
th ranked Wartburg women were upset by Loras 71-63. Wartburg head coach Bob Amsberry was unable to coach in Tuesday night’s game because of quarantine so Waverly-Shell Rock coach Greg Bodensteiner and Emma Gerdes coached. The Knights finish the year 13-3. There is no NCAA Tournament this year for Division 3.
The 7-seeded Wartburg men were beaten by 2-seeded Buena Vista 96-70. The Knights finish the season 4-7.

Wednesday night in women’s basketball former Go-Hawk Payton Draper scored 18 points to lead #4 Wartburg over Loras 50-42. That was the regular season finale with just the American Rivers Conference Tournament remaining on the schedule.
