Kwasa Land appoints Adenan Md Yusof as managing director

KUALA LUMPUR: Employees Provident Fund unit Kwasa Land has appointed Adenan Md Yusof as its managing director, effective May 3, 2021. Adenan replaces Mohamad Hafiz Kassim, who will remain on the board as head of the EPFs real esate investment department. In his previous role, Adenan was group managing director at Amanah Raya Bhd. He was also formerly chief operating officer at AmanahRaya-REIT Managers Sdn Bhd and vice chairman of the Malaysian REIT Managers Association as well as a member of its regulatory committee. Before his tenure with Amanah Raya, he served in key positions including General Manager of KUB Malaysia Berhad, Group General Manager of Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd and Vice President of Special Projects at UDA Holdings Berhad – roles where he helmed property investment portfolios and strategies.

AmanahRaya confident of recovering up to RM500mil

“We are confident to recover up to RM400mil of assets in the next one or two years and up to RM100mil from equity investments, ” AmanahRaya said. KUALA LUMPUR: AmanahRaya Bhd, whose fund management was criticised of being inefficient by the Auditor General, says it is confident of recovering up to RM500mil in assets and equity investments. In a statement issued on Monday, it was taking all the necessary actions in improving the fund performance and a recovery plan had been tabled and approved by the board. AmanahRaya, in acknowledging the AG report, also said the current board of directors “is committed in ensuring the audit findings are addressed and recommendations made by the AG are adopted by the company”.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 12): Malaysian Government-owned trustee co Amanah Raya Bhd said today that it is confident of recovering up to RM500 million worth of assets within the next two to three years, after the National Audit Department highlighted the deficit in the fund managed by Amanah Raya. Amanah Raya said in a statement today that it acknowledges the contents of the 2019 Auditor General’s Report which the National Audit Department issued recently. We are confident to recover up to RM400 million of assets in the next one or two years. As market improves, we expect to recover up to RM100 from equity investment.
