SUTHERLAND—Gregg Struve’s parents strongly believed in the mission of the Prairie Heritage Center, and he does too. That’s why the 61-year-old Paullina native established the Dan and Jean Struve Charitable Fund Benefiting Prairie Heritage Center with a $100,000 donation. Gregg announced the fund’s creation Tuesday, June 29, at a program held at the educational facility, located southeast of Sutherland. “This place was very special to Dan and Jean, my parents, who served the folks of O’Brien County for years,” said Gregg, who resides in Seattle. Dan was a county supervisor in District 2 for 32 years and had been involved in the creation of the center, which opened in 2006. Jean worked at Baum Harmon Memorial Hospital in Primghar for 21 years.
