Every province has its own version of the HCA, so one must be aware of the provincial regulations specific to their work environment. Creating regulations for the conservation of heritage property in British Columbia started back in the 1860s. At that time, archaeological processes were focused on colonial regulations and were not developed in consultation with First Nations. In the 1960s, new regulations were created, but collaboration with First Nations was still absent. Following the rise of cultural resource management in the early 1970s, the first version of the HCA we know today was written in 1977 and is currently administered by the BC Archaeology Branch.

DAGSBORO, Del. – Hitting the high notes and not missing a beat, two high school students from Indian River are representing Sussex County in not one, but two highly prestigious musical ensembles. They both say it’s proof that as long as you work hard, you can do whatever you set your mind to.
“I’ve been singing forever, I’ve loved to sing since I was a little girl, but professionally, with classical training, I’ve been singing since about my freshman year of high school,” Abby Wilson, a senior at Indian River High School, said.
And all of that singing has paid off for Abby, who was recently named to the All National Ensemble and the All Eastern Ensemble, a choir and band ensemble made up of the best of the best.
With lockdown well and truly underway, parents have been left with little choice but to homeschool their children once again.
