Ozark, Ala. (WTVY) -A Fort Rucker helicopter has either crashed or hard landed at Hooper Airfield, near the entrance to the Army base.
WTVYâs Abby Nelson reports the Apache aircraft sustained significant damage but apparently did not catch fire.
There is no immediate word regarding the condition of those on board.

âI think the easy thing for this year would have been to kind of curl up in a ball and just wait for things to get better, and we didnât take the easy route,â said Main Street Manager Abby Nelson. âWeâve continuously thought of things ⦠We didnât shut down. We just persevered and continued to roll with the events, the ideas, the outreach, that we were able to do even during a pandemic.â
