The outgoing mayor of Great Dunmow Town Council has reflected on his year in office, and says he will be remembered as the Covid mayor .
Councillor Mike Coleman said he wanted to thank the team who had supported him including deputy Patrick Lavelle who has succeeded him as mayor, and Foakes House staff including the clerk and mayor s secretary.
He also thanked his wife Pauline Coleman, who got to wear her mayoress chains of office only once - when she assisted with the laying of the commemorative wreath in memory of Prince Philip.

Great Dunmow Town Council has appointed a new mayor and deputy mayor for the coming year.
Cllr Patrick Lavelle is the new mayor and his deputy mayor is Cllr Alex Armstrong.
Cllr Lavelle said: I am pleased and honoured to have been elected to represent the residents of Dunmow and the town council as mayor. The last year was very difficult for everyone and our focus for this year will be on managing the emergence from lockdown and rebuilding the vibrant and welcoming community in Dunmow that makes the town such a great place to live, work and play.

CANTON The Above and Beyond Awards at Renaissance Care Center for January have been announced.
Jacqueline Hammond has been a nurse at Renaissance Care Center for about four years. The Above and Beyond nomination for Jackie says, “Jackie has transitioned from CNA to RN like a boss. She has compassion for her patients and provides excellent care. I am nominating Jackie for an above and beyond award because she is always willing to assist all staff and helps cover additional shifts when need be.”
Jackie loves working at Renaissance Care Center, because helping others and caring for her residents are what matters. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys hanging out with her kids.
ESTA Announces the Technical Standards Program s Above & Beyond Award Recipients USA - The Entertainment Services and Technology Association s (ESTA s) Technical Standards Program (TSP) has announced the 2020 recipients of the annual Above & Beyond Awards.
The TSP exists because hundreds of individuals from across the industry volunteer their expertise and significant amounts of time to write and improve standards that increase safety, provide interoperability between different manufacturers, solve problems, and make life easier. The awards are a chance for volunteers to celebrate those of their peers whom they feel have made a significant contribution to the advancement of the programme.
