With the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic, live theatre came to an abrupt halt. Performing on a stage was no longer considered safe, and neither was being part of an audience. But theatre artistes are now slowly resuming work.
Loko Natyadal (Banani) is going to stage Kanjus , one of Bangladesh s most popular theatrical productions, after nearly a year. The play will be staged in Bangladesh Mahila Samity Auditorium at 6:30 pm on February 5, 2021. Kanjus is based on the famous comedy The Miser by French playwright Moliere. This production is adapted by Tariq Anam Khan and directed by Kamrun Nur Chowdhury, featuring Abdullah Al Harun, Eugene Gomez, Samsad Begum, and Anwar Kaiser among others.
