KARACHI: The Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan believes Prime Minister Imran Khan is fast becoming unpopular with each passing day and today his popularity is no longer at levels he enjoyed before general election 2018 because of dismal performance.
JI leaders and activists taking part in a protest demonstration held in line with its drive for rights of Karachi in the Saddar area on Friday said that even people in Karachi, which had his considerable following, had started realising their “mistake” after the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government abandoned the metropolis in the wake of its victory in the polls.

Six people including three of a family were killed in separate road accidents in Multan and Muzaffargarh on Wednesday.
Rescue 1122 officials told APP that at least three people including a woman were killed while two children sustained serious injuries after a car collided head-on with a tractor trolley.
The accident took place on M5 motorway passing through Jalalpur Pirwalla, the officials added. The unfortunate family was travelling from Lahore to Karachi when it fell prey to the fatal accident early in the morning. The reason for the road accident was yet to be ascertained.

Controversial businessman Karat Faisal won the seat as Independent
The CPI(M) Kozhikode district committee will look into the defeat of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) nominee Abdul Rasheed, who drew a blank without getting any votes from the Chundappuram ward of Koduvally municipality where he contested in the recently concluded local body polls.
Here, controversial businessman Karat Faisal, who stood as an Independent candidate, won the seat. He decided to enter the fray after he was denied a seat following the intervention of the CPI(M).
