In a press statement on Tuesday, the Ranchi centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the projected path of the cyclone has tilted slightly westwards and instead of the earlier East Singhbhum entry, it is now likely to approach Jharkhand from West Singhbhum.
After the slight deviation in the cyclone’s path, one more district Simdega has also been included in the red alert zone along with East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Seraikela Kharsawan.
