Dear Parents, Guardians, and Families:
In an effort to continue our communication with families on COVID-19 related matters, this letter is to inform parents of the staff members that have been placed on quarantine as a result of being a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case. In all instances, the positive COVID-19 cases are outside of the school and not associated with a school transmission of the virus.
Six (6) staff members are currently quarantined as close contacts to positive COVID-19 cases. These staff members include: One (1) transportation employee, one (1) staff member at Pere Marquette Early Childhood Center, one (1) teacher at Ludington High School, one (1) teacher at Franklin Elementary School, one (1) Central Business Office employee, and one (1) professional staff member shared across multiple elementary school buildings.

While we hope that the holiday season and holiday break have provided a much needed respite from the stress in our lives that has been created by the pandemic that we have all endured, we also know that mental health is important at every stage of our lives, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. According to the CDC, our mental health affects how we think, feel, and act, and also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices.
