Siena was denied its first-ever MAAC championship, as Fairfield again topped the Saints in the league title game at its home Rafferty Stadium in Fairfield, Connecticut. Down three goals minutes into the game, Fairfield rallied back to produce a 12-8 win and secure its third consecutive league championship, and second in a row with a win against the Saints in the final.

The Saints scored three goals in less than a minute to force overtime, then received a goal from Kerry Gerety in the final minute of overtime to secure the victory in their regular-season finale. Nicole McNeely assisted on the game-winning goal as part of a 10-point effort that included seven goals and three assists.

Siena women’s lacrosse wins 5th consecutive game | The Daily Gazette SECTIONS Shares0 LOUDONVILLE Nicole McNeely and Mary Soures each scored four goals, as the Siena women’s lacrosse team picked up a 13-12 MAAC win Friday against Monmouth. Siena never led by more than four goals in its senior-day contest at Hickey Field, but the Saints led for all of the final 54:55 after McNeely’s first goal of the game. A second goal of the game from Annie Brennan, a fifth-year senior, with 3:24 remaining in regulation put the Saints ahead 13-10, and Siena was able to hold off visiting Monmouth despite the Hawks pulling within 13-12 with 1:37 to go.
