“A lot of times they start by looking for ads online, looking for minors or indicators that they know a lot of the time to be true of human traffickers,” she said.
McGaw told the team not to be afraid to create these partnerships with law enforcement and highlighted how it’s beneficial to have a detective there to build rapport and a trusting relationship with the victims.
Many times when the task force is interacting with a victim or survivor for the first time, the victim or survivor is very resistant to work with a detective because they don’t always align themselves with law enforcement in a positive light, Rheinschild said.

All Saints-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Montecito in June finished a two-year construction project renovating the 121-year-old church, ensuring that the building can withstand another 100 years and making it accessible to all parishioners.

The renovation project, completed in June by Armstrong Associates, began in 2019.
The project included all new framing and a new foundation, as well as upgrades to the HVAC systems and accessibility improvements.
The 121-year-old church is an iconic piece of history located on Eucalyptus Lane in Montecito.
Most of the original woodwork has been preserved and the church s stained glass windows were restored to their original glory.

Earl Armstrong, President of Armstrong Associates, said this particular project hit close to home.
“My wife and I were married in this church; our children were baptized here and went to preschool at All Saints. We are proud to have been the selected General Contractor to restore this beautiful historic structure,” Armstrong said.
