Liam Gallagher has bagged one of the first Official Charts Number 1 Awards for vinyl with All You’re Dreaming Of’.
The Official Charts Company has expanded their Number 1 Award to include their specialists charts, such as vinyl, Afrobeats and classical.
And the former Oasis rocker s festive charity single in aid of Action For Children was the top-selling single on vinyl in 2020, meaning he s become one of the first-ever recipients of a Number 1 Award for the Official Vinyl Chart.
The Shockwave hitmaker appeared in a video holding his award in a crash helmet with the word peace across it.
The OCC have today (January 6) published their rundown of the top 40 best-selling vinyl albums in the UK in 2020, with Fleetwood Mac‘s ‘Rumours’ being named as the biggest-selling vinyl album of last year after it shifted 32,500 copies.

Oasis’ ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ and Amy Winehouse‘s ‘Back To Black’ complete the top three. The top-selling vinyl album that was released in 2020 was Kylie Minogue‘s ‘Disco’, which has sold 21,500 copies on vinyl since its release in November.

Now, the latest update from the Official Charts Company confirms the track is at Number Six in the race for the festive top spot and is the UK’s second most downloaded song of the week. In the midweek chart published on Monday (December 21), it was at Number 19.
LadBaby (YouTubers Mark and Roxanne Hoyle) are currently in position to take the Number One with ‘Don’t Stop Me Eatin”, which would mark their third consecutive Christmas Number One. Mariah Carey‘s ‘All I Want For Christmas’ is at Number Two in the latest update, while Wham!‘s ‘Last Christmas’ is at Number Three.

The road sign also now features an exclamation mark after Wham’s name, in reference to the band. As
ChronicleLive reports, it is currently unknown who is behind the alteration, but it was first spotted by passers-by on Friday (December 18) morning.

‘Last Christmas’ was recently in a chart battle to reach the Number One spot in the Official UK Singles Chart, challenging Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ for the top spot. Both songs had previously only peaked at Number Two.
