The active cases have increased marginally to 14,810 in the financial capital of the country. On Wednesday, the city had reported 863 new coronavirus cases, 23 deaths, 711 recoveries and had 14,577 active cases of the infection. The BMC has collected over Rs 58 crore in fines from people who were found without face masks in public places since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. As per the latest figures till June 23, the amount of Rs 58,42,99,600 is collected inclusive of fines imposed by Mumbai Police and the Railways.
