Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 4) The low-pressure area northeast of Itbayat, Batanes that intensified into a tropical depression on Wednesday has already left the country, weather officials said.
In its 5 p.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said tropical depression Gorio left the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 4 p.m.
However, southwest monsoon rains will continue to drench the country, including the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales and Bataan in the next 24 hours.
